Peter de Smidt l Non-Executive Director
After many years as an Executive Director of Insurance Companies including The Hollard Insurance Company, Hollard Life, Hollard Commercial and General, Lombard Insurance and Infiniti Insurance, Peter now leads his own investment company which is focused on developing and supporting Specialist Insurance Underwriters. Peter has a passion for working with entrepreneurs and partnering with them to build successful businesses – something that has always motivated him throughout his career. His extensive experience in Insurance combined with early careers in Engineering and Merchant Banking have resulted in a unique mix of skills which are cherished by his Partners. Peter is a Director of a number of diverse Companies as well as serving on the Board of Welgevonden Game Reserve and as Chairman of Logwood Village which are non-profit Organisations that are close to his heart. Peter holds a BSc(Eng)(Civil) from the University of Natal, a BCom(Hon)(Economics) from UNISA, an MBA(First Class) from UCT and a Wharton AMP.

Mark comes from a 10 year brokering background with specialisation in key accounts, which led to an affinity for heavy commercial vehicle policies. Mark’s motorsport passion provides a practical background to a very mechanical sector. His blend of insurance qualifications, people skills and mechanical understanding provides an ideal grounding to head up the organisation.

 

 

 

 

Grant Douglas l General Manager
Grant brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Arrow team, derived from his experience at all levels within brokering, underwriting and insurance organisations. He provides insight, stability and balance to the dynamic Arrow team.

 

 

 

 

 

Tamlin Spencer l Operations Executive
Tamlin’s understanding of the transport market makes her an invaluable member of the dynamic Arrow team. Having worked in the field of transport insurance for the past 15 years with Senate, One and Lynx she has established herself as a highly respected and approachable expert in her field.

Guy Gore – Johannesburg/Pretoria Region
Guy heads up the Marketing team in Johannesburg and Pretoria Region and has been in the Commercial and Motor Insurance Industry for 31 years, of which 16 years were as a Broker. He has a comprehensive understanding of the Broker service level requirements and has a hands on approach to forming and maintaining business relationships. Guy feels that service levels will make Arrow stand out from the competition.

 

 

 

 

Neil Smith – KZN Region
Neil and his motivated marketing & administrative support team provides highly customer focused service to a large number of brokers in the KZN region. Neil has 19 years of experience in the HCV market. Arrow is the largest growing company in this region (in this sector) and continues to offer innovated insurance products designed for the KZN market to maintain customer and broker support in the long term.
